Sinipok is strongly considering running an intermediate level language immersion program in June/July 2025 on Guahan. We’ve created this Survey to find out if there is enough interest to run an intermediate level program.

We believe that building fluency in intermediate speakers will have a tremendous impact on the language revitalization movement. Imagine if each fluent speaker taught two family members and guided them to fluency as well … and what if those two family members did the same?

More opportunities for proficient language learners should exist in order to create a pipeline of intermediate learners, and importantly, teachers. We see this opportunity as a “training the trainers” model, and we believe that building the capacity of the next generation of Chamoru language learners is an important part of the revitalization movement.
